The Story of Alpine"I don't want to move it" For years we've all heard stories about people needing help with their computers, networks, printers, etc. etc. but they didn't want to go to the trouble of unhooking their stuff, taking it to a repair shop, then picking it up, then trying to figure out how it all goes back together. We are a company who is committed to traveling to the customer and doing our work onsite if possible. Big Boxes and Office Suppliers Chain stores and office supply companies do offer in-home service - for heart-attack fees that most normal people don't want to pay, especially if they don't know what is wrong in the first place, or how much the final bill will be. This puts the customer in the uncomfortable position of A) Limping along until their computer-savvy friend/sibling/parent/child helps them out - maybe. B) Paying outrageous fees for on-site service C) Gritting their teeth, clearing time in their schedule, and overcoming the "I don't want to move it" feeling, and carting their equipment across town in between all the other tasks they are trying to get done. If the problem is a minor one that could have been fixed on site, the customer is stuck without a computer until the repair center fixes the minor problem, charges them for an hour of repair, they pick it up, lug it back across town, and hook it up! Ouch! The Way We Work When your toilet breaks, do you have to remove it from your bathroom and take it to a plumber repair center? Of course not. Why should it be any different with a computer? Our solution is a simple one. We come to the customer and determine what needs to be done right then and there. We also give an estimate of the cost of the job, and help the customer explore all their options. Typically, if the job is going to take more than an hour, we unhook the equipment, take it to our facility, do the repair there, and deliver the equipment back to the customer. We then hook it back up and test it on-site to ensure full functionality. "How much does this cost?" Our visit fee is $90, which includes a free cleaning of the equipment, the bench fee (figuring out what the problem is), and up to an hour of on-site labor. Usually, the call falls into the category of one of our services, which all have flat fees. In that case, the $90 will apply toward that fee. A complete listing of our fees are found on our services page. |
